Q
How can the instrument integrity be checked?
A

The recommended method is to measure a substance with a known moisture concentration, and then check the integrity with respect to repeatability, accuracy, and linearity.
The following types of substances with known moisture concentrations (moisture standards) are available from KEM in accordance with the application.

  • Moisture Standard 10 Volumetric Method Checks, Titer Standardization, Titer 10
  • Moisture Standard 1 Coulometric Method Checks, Titer 1.0
  • Moisture Standard 0.2 Coulometric Method Checks, Titer 0.2
  • Moisture Standard 0.1 Coulometric Method Checks, Titer 0.1
  • Solid Moisture Standard 5.5 Evaporator Checks, 5.5 %, 220 °C
  • Solid Moisture Standard 3.8 Evaporator Checks, 3.8 %, 200 °C
