FAQDensity/Specific Gravity Meters

Density/Specific Gravity Meters

Q
What is the maximum viscosity level at which measurements can be performed?
A

The maximum viscosity levels at which measurements can be performed are shown below.
With manual sampling, this value changes with the degree of care taken during injection.
For this reason, the values below should only be considered guidelines.

DA-130N portable density/specific gravity meter
Sampling using the built-in syringe: Approximately 2,000 mPa•s max.
Sampling manually using a syringe: Approximately 30,000 mPa•s max.

DA-600 series of oscillation type density meter
Sampling using the built-in pump: Approximately 2,000 mPa•s max.
Sampling manually using a syringe: Approximately 30,000 mPa•s max.

DA-600 series of oscillation type density meter with the CHD-502 multiple sample changer:
Approximately 30,000 mPa•s max.

DA-600 series of oscillation type density meter with the DCU-551N auto clean and sampling unit:
Approximately 30,000 mPa•s max.
