The DA-130N portable density/specific gravity meter is not equipped with a function to adjust the temperature of the sample, but it does have a temperature compensation function. This function converts the density measured at one temperature to the density at a user-defined temperature. This function can be used when the sample consists of a single component. If the sample consists of a number of components, or you wish to measure the density at a particular temperature, the temperature of the sample must be adjusted using a thermostatic chamber before sampling. The DA-600 series of bench top density meter do have a temperature adjustment function, so it is not necessary to use a thermostatic chamber.
